General HDMT Advisory

The Healthy Development Measurement Tool (HDMT) is being developed through an ongoing, iterative process. Through this process, the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is creating, revising and updating the website and associated products. If you’ve previously used HDMT data, please be aware that the data, development targets, policy and design strategies, standards, and other information currently on the website may be revised from what you previously reviewed.

To help viewers keep track of changes on the HDMT, SFDPH is providing:

News Archives (listed below) is an archive of all “recent news” items listed on the HDMT homepage. This archive is intended to help viewers track major updates or revisions to the website – for example, major revisions to the development checklist or the addition of new indicators.

Corrections and Errors (listed below) is an archive of all corrected errors on the website occurring because of technological or human error.

Numbered Versions of the HDMT Development Checklist. As of November 2007, revisions to the HDMT Development Checklist will be noted in the bottom left corner of the .pdf document, as well as in the News Archives listed below. Specifically, minor revisions to the development checklist will be noted as Version 1.02, 1.03, etc. Major revisions will be noted as Version 2.01, 3.01, etc.

Please make sure to check this page for any edits, updates or corrections if you are using the HDMT in an ongoing basis. Thank you!

NEWS ARCHIVE

Below is an archive of all “recent news” items listed on the HDMT homepage. This archive is intended to help viewers track major updates or revisions to the website – for example, major revisions to the development checklist or the addition of new indicators. Each listing includes the date and the update made.

CORRECTIONS AND ERRORS

Below are corrected errors on the website occurring because of technological or human error. Each listing includes the date the correction was posted, the section of the website edited, the problem that occurred and the date the correction was made.

2007/11/26 -- Indicator Page: SC.4.c: Street Tree Population

For Indicator SC.4.c: Street Tree Population, the number of street trees maintained by DPW in Districts 5,6,7,8,9,10 & 11 were accidentally moved down one row, meaning that the number of DPW maintained trees in District 6 was actually the correct number of DPW maintained trees in District 5. This error has been corrected.

2007/10/23 -- Neighborhood Profiles

Indicator PI.4.b “Designated federal, state, and city funding for the arts” on the Neighborhood Profiles stated the citywide total for arts spending was “$526,888,300.0”. The actual amount was “$52,688,830.00”. The amount was corrected on 10/23/07.

2007/10/15 -- Neighborhood Profiles

Data tables for indicators with more than one data table were transposed in the uploading process to the neighborhood profiles page. This only impacted the neighborhood profiles page and none of the other individual data pages. Specifically, on the neighborhood profiles pages, the following indicators had the citywide estimate for one indicator and the neighborhood specific estimates for another indicator (the second indicator is listed in parentheses). This error was corrected on 10/15/07.
